SATELLIZ's Cloud monitoring SaaS platform, which is based on a highly available Big Data architecture, has just passed the course of 5 billion real-time measurements processed every month.

A pioneer in France in Cloud infrastructures monitoring, the software technology developed by SATELLIZ is distinguished in particular by its ability to accurately measure all the activity of a server, whether physical or "virtual", from network services and Internet up to the different software layers of the server: systems, processes, applications, databases, etc.

One of the keys to success of the supervision function is to be able to cover the broadest and most precise monitoring spectrum possible, in order to better detect any anomaly, and to offer users the best possible reading and analysis of the behavior of their computer in monitoring.

To date, the SATELLIZ solution has more than 200 monitoring probes and other additional plugins ready to be deployed for each client server. All the probes installed record all the technical measures in real time, which are immediately analyzed by the SaaS platform.

All these measurements are carried out in real time and are analyzed continuously, to be reproduced in the form of activity curves or to possibly trigger an alert if an anomaly is detected.

For each server, there are therefore millions of measurements that must be taken every month, ... which raises a double challenge for a monitoring platform in SaaS mode supposed to continuously monitor thousands of servers: that of storing billions of data while remaining continuously available.

Recently, the course of 5 billion real-time measurements processed every month by the SaaS platform has just been crossed, thus validating SATELLIZ’s strategy and technical choices.

It took two years of Research & Development for SATELLIZ to develop a software technology capable of efficiently and precisely monitoring any type of Cloud infrastructure.

In line with its supervision technology, SATELLIZ has implemented a technical platform capable of:

• collect hundreds of thousands of simultaneous data in real time, corresponding to the measurement points of thousands of supervised servers ;

• to be scalable, in order to cope with the gradual ramp-up with the increase of the activity ;

• to be available, in order to ensure uninterrupted servers monitoring ;

• to store hundreds of billions of data, and to restore them "on demand and on the fly" to users in the form of curves or via API.

In the technical program of the platform, there is a (secret!) recipe developed by SATELLIZ with particular open source components such as Hadoop, HBase, etc.
